Re: The First World Problem Thread

In the smarter parts of London, many people are catching "avocado hand" which arrives when tipsy people try to cut open an avocado.

Hospital A&E departments are now using the term "avocado hand" when registering these unfortunate patients.

The very rich of course rely on their chef for starters.

Is that why the NHS computers are under attack? Too many avocado cases.

For starters? No, avocados with bananas & blueberries for breakfast, yum!

A&E is quieter in the mornings too, I find..

Brand new work gloves (leather) stink and I hate the smell of my hands after using the gloves.

That's because you work fancy.

I got my bi-weekly quote of deeply fried fish fingers today. This is usually the only day I visit the company canteen - perfection. Today though, they served it with potatoes and not chips.

Always have the fridge stocked with healthy self-serving stuff for other family members on these days - just a question of organisation.

I had to replace the battery in the Porsche today because we don't use it enough and it died!

I should have swapped out the battery from the Focus before I gave it away to a friend's son last month.

You think that's bad. Try putting up with repeats of The Avengers (Steed and Cathy Gale) in black and white - currently running on True Entertainment.

I was watching a documentary short about a guy from West Philadelphia, but I never got to hear his plight because in my head I was singing: "...born and raised, in a playground is where I spent most of my days."

I've just come home after collecting an armful of packages from my German PO Box, and now I receive an email telling me that a new package has just arrived.

Give it to me next time. I'll make sure the battery stays charged!

I've just had to read this sentence seven times because someone told me it has seven different meanings depending on the stressed word:

"I never said she stole my money"

Today, the person in front of me in the supermarket at the 12 items- or- less- till clearly had 13!
