The fidget spinner I ordered from China still isn't here yet; The fad will be over soon and then I'll look lame
My husband ordered two, and they arrived yesterday.

We have three kids.

I let you imagine the result...

They are rad. I think I will be tired of if by the next week but my brothers got them from me as well. They are so fun to stack them like a giant spinning cake. Or rotate them sideways in a slit of a woodden bench, one after another. They walk.

It is kinda interesting, people fidget with cells, usually..this is probably a bit better.

Waste of time fiddling with those things. You could be doing something useful like squares for the next elected EF group project.

Communism is a theoretical abstract. Whatever poses for it comes up with amusing terminology.

I'd take these silly spinning things for kids over annoyingly noisy Fisher-Price toys anytime. Except when spinners fall on parketted floors.

Noisy floors. FWP.

Off to the piano now.

A long time ago my mother gave my nephew a fireman's helmet with built in flashing light and siren for Christmas.

They came to our house for Christmas dinner. When my mother opened the door my aunt shouted "I can understand the helmet, it's just his kind of thing BUT DID YOU HAVE TO INCLUDE 3 SETS OF SPARE BATTERIES????"

Re: The First World Problem Thread

The fidget spinners have been designed, developed specifically for children with ADHD and ASD. Children who find it difficult to focus/concentrate or suffer from anxiety in loud/chaotic environments. And for that purpose, they are exceptionally good at helping children calm down, focus in lessons and stay on task.

However, the spinners have become a fad, the latest thing to have so everyone has one. A money spinner, as it were

We have 3 at home and love them. Very soothing.. I really like the whirring sound.

We should meet and stack your three with our three!

I know it is an ADHD prop. As with anything, if used by non ADHD person while trying to focus on something else I wonder if this fad is going cause ADHD just like other fidgety things, cells, etc.

The grown up ones are sleek. I want a two wing metally thing
