Re: The First World Problem Thread

The French postal system advertises the postman popping in on your elderly parent to make sure they haven't died in the night. Postmen are obviously getting very social & varied in their work now. Ours is quite cute. I wouldn't mind him soaping me in the shower but he would need psychiatric help afterwards .

Re: The First World Problem Thread

It's a bit hot in my attic. If I open both windows it creates a breeze but this in turn knocks some papers off my table.

It's really really hard to get the right level of open window to breeze ratio without having to pick up papers off the floor. As if I didn't have enough things to worry about already.

A few more years and they will finally live up to their reputation?

That's how they save on expensive chocolate. Dang cheaters!

Something keeps dribbling from the tree on my laptop. You can't see it but feel it on the mouse-pad and it drives me friggin' crazy! I'm on my way to become a cleaning maniac.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

The menu advertised caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella, but I got regular mozzarella. You cannot fool me in any planet, I am a mozzarella connoisseuse, plus buffalo mozzarella has such a distinct taste you cannot miss it.

The Mexican chef and the Mexican waiter were both clearly incompetent as far as mozzarella goes, but to compensate for that, the waiter gave me an awesome recommendation afterwards for a mom&pop homemade tamales place.

I love San Diego, CA.

Sigh.

I ordered gratin dauphinois with my steak but they brought me a baked potato instead. So I had to eat the steak by itself whilst my fancy spuds were being prepared.

On our honeymoon in Athens, my wife ordered taramasalata. The dish, when it arrived, was clearly Tyrokafteri (spicy cheese). When I complained, the waiter, without a hint of shame, announced: "In this restaurant, we make our taramasalata with cheese."

We escaped to a more civilised part of the country the next morning.
