Re: The First World Problem Thread

Quote:
On our honeymoon in Athens, my wife ordered taramasalata. The dish, when it arrived, was clearly Tyrokafteri (spicy cheese). When I complained, the waiter, without a hint of shame, announced: "In this restaurant, we make our taramasalata with cheese."

We escaped to a more civilised part of the country the next morning.
No doubt the waiter attended this course.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I was cooking for my mates at work yesterday. I put some chicken wings in the oven, whereas the packet was saying 220 deg C. Even though the oven run full blast at 240 deg C, it felt rather like approximately 190deg C. No go! Needless to say it took about 45min to make lunch (instead of a suggested 20min as written on the packet).

So I had to serve first potato wedges with salad to make up for this Swiss' technology blunder.

I don't usually care about calories but this thing had more than 450kcal! If I keep this new habit up, tomorrow will not come soon

We've run out of marmite and I've already started on the summer weather lager and limes so I am too busy to go to the shop and buy more.

I can't cut back the big overgrown shrub at the back of the garden, it's got a nest of little blackbirds in it.

Make a pie

"Sing a song of sixpence,
A pocket full of rye.
Four and twenty blackbirds,
Baked in a pie."
