Friends of mine tried that. Instead of the grass they went to the flower garden next door..... GBP 200 and more down the drain to replace that

The Swiss school system is my personal gripe.
It's not the Swiss school system, it's your local school system.

Here, kindergarten, elementary, secondary, and liceo all have the same hours and days, and have had so for decades.

You clearly live in the wrong part of Switzerland.

Tom

Today once again I had to enter my car from the passenger's side - SUV-drivers seem to think, everybody driving a smaller car surely has to be foldable, hence no need to leave any space to the neighbouring car when parking...

Car park designers haven't noticed that cars have expanded since the days of the first minis. We don't have an SUV (actually an antique 806) but at least it has sliding doors in the back + I can get in the boot to walk through to the drivers seat.

One evening when I got back to my car there were cars parked on both sides so close that I couldn't open any of the doors and I only drive a small car. Both neighbouring cars were encroaching on my space.
I had to send the boy in through the boot, have him clamber over all the seats to get the driver's seat and let the handbrake off. I then pushed the car out far enough to be able to open the driver's door, screamed at him to put the handbrake on then got in and drove away.
I did take a photo and showed it to the car park management and the left notices on the windscreens but I have no idea what they said.

I wanted this to be my chill day with swimming and walking around.
Nope. 13°C and a runny nose.
And I was complaining about the 40° which I came from...

That's why. Learn to control your thoughts (you'll be doing us all a favour as we too have to suffer from the results ).
