Re: The First World Problem Thread

I pulled up outside a big shoeshop today only to find out it has disappeared.
I am getting paranoid, this is the second business partner this year that just evaporated.

Does it mean anything that there were cars parked in the ex-shoe-hall? The last business was a garage ....

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Got a new navi and it keeps telling me I'm driving too fast. While the old one mentioned it once, the new one keeps nagging until I slow down.
(No, changing the voice to male does not solve the problem )

My quinoa, couscous and feta-stuffed peppers were ever-so-slightly burned. The garnish of sunflower seeds was unpleasantly crunchy as a result.

There's this new thing called "Instruction Manual"...it's like google but designed specifically for your device. Might worth a try.

I hate manuals, I prefer to hand these things just over to a friend and let him fix it

Have just been fired to be replaced by a fellow colleague from outsourcing (India), who planned this extremely carefully. Not fun at just over 50 in IT.
Sorry, just stating the facts.

Happened to a friend of ours, same at 53. But things aren't going smoothly with the replacement, far from it. Hope you find something soon enough.

Common story but sadly does not help, no senior manager will admit to a poor decision.

Once worked at a place where they outsourced a group of people to India whose main role was liaising with internal "customers" about requirements, the suitability of new systems and advice about using new systems.
Practically impossible over the phone when neither side were native English speakers

Hence the reason why Barclays dropped their call centers in India.
