Re: The First World Problem Thread

I try to flirt with one guy (in writing) but because of the language we use every sentence costs me at least ten minutes in dictionaries and grammatics. So far, for 3 days, we've exchanged 3 messages, 3-4 sentences each.
On the bright side, I have to learn these things anyway.

Fast asleep when teenage daughter, who had gone into town to celebrate holiday with friends, called at 1.00 a.m. to say she was on the bus and we could go to sleep and not worry...

Hit my little toe badly when stumbling through my messy office half a sleep to find out the chair has hit my printer and broke it. And all of it is my own fault.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

So unused to living in a flat with no garden, Mrs McTAVGE, while drinking her Pimm's and Lemonade, threw her ice cubes and 1 slice of cucumber over the balcony, realising instantly with horror what she had just done.

Fortunately, the neighbours below did not end with an unexpected cucumber face mask or ice in their t-shirts, but the hedge did look slightly different.

Drivers of supercars... when I am trying to get my child to sleep in the buggy, please don't hit the accelerator, this is Zürich ffs, not Brands Hatch.

Have you had them drive by fast when there's a giant puddle so that you get showered in muddy water yet? Pure pleasure... not.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Broke a plastic bit off my Garment Steamer, the first iron I've had for more than 8 months as it really IS nonstick. Of course I can't buy that part anywhere.
Today is not my day, should I just go back to bed?

Tesco Express at South Kensington ran out of Jack Daniels/Coke mixes, I don't have anything else to gurgle with before my concert in the Royal Albert Hall.

Oh well, just think about how you'd like potentially to scream, plead and knock some common sense into most of us instead.

Similar seems to work for most of the greats.
Want good tickets next time,

Gloria masses are usually quite cheerful...in joyous spirit.I think that kind of frustration you are talking about come handy more for Requiem and Stabat Mater.

You guys are a nice bunch, though. No stress. Not boring. Not too much common sense, thankfully.

There is an overwhelming choice of breakfast cereal in the large Carrefour supermarket in France but do they sell bog standard plain Weetabix? No of course the don't. The only Weetabix they have is the chocolate one.
