This actually happened to me once when the cafetiere handle broke, scalding hot coffee all over my leg and foot. Had really nasty blisters for a while.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Obvious. Get a stovetop coffee maker and put it in the kitchen nearest the dinning room, keep the proper coffee maker in the other kitchen far away from any dinner party guests. Then, when you next have a dinner party, offer coffee. Pick up the stovetop coffee maker, explain how you cannot stand coffee machines because they take the art out of good coffee etc, and then march out with coffee maker in hand to other kitchen. Use nespresso machine. Return with 'artisan' coffees.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

The people delivering our new bed turned up an hour earlier than they said they would.
They were given a delivery time different to mine so they thought they were only actually five minute early.
Lucky I arrived home when I did or they might have driven away again and we'd have had to slum it in the guest bed tonight.

Oh hell ..... I just cannot stop laughing! Tears are running down my cheeks (darn, the tissues are in the bathroom and I don`t want germs on my socks as I can`t find my house-shoes - will just have to use the hem of my slightly new tshirt)
The expression on that little face - priceless! And SO true - we use about 5 litres to wash away a pee! Ok I use only 2 ltrs now since we have a self-regulating self-filling bowl.

dog off leash, i'm going to tell him I'm going to report him.

dog nose kissing, I'm sure he didn't thoroughly scrub Brians nose, so we can only hope he doesn't get limpopo sleeping sickness, kuru disease or ms.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I flew home from London today with Swiss, but due to technical issues our original Airbus A320 plane was replaced with a Helvetica Fokker 100. Call me fussy, but I didn't pay Swiss prices to fly in a cramped, accident-prone, 20 year old aircraft with a name that sounds like an Irish Cuss word
