Re: The First World Problem Thread

I have had sound level reduced for the 'rear'' microphones but not hearing things coming up behind you is a PROBLEM and dead scary.

Another FWP with aids is that folks look at me oddly in the train when I request that they make less noise rustling the pages of their free newspapers.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

This morning I ran out of unscented deodorant so had to use some Axe Africa which I found in a drawer.
I find it really clashes with my aftershave, creating a confused bouquet.

Gaah. Why is it so difficult to find unperfumed anti-perspirent? Some (French) supermarkets usually have it in the 'female' range, but not all the time. At the moment I'm having to make do with a lightly-scented Nivea one that's not too bad and at least doesn't make me sneeze like so many of them. And I find the 'masculine' scents to be even worse.

But honestly, if I wanted to smell perfumed I'd buy perfume[1].

[1] Aka aftershave, which I haven't used in decades.

Axe is Lynx in the UK. Unacceptably confusing.

That's what I normally do but she won't buy it this time. She used to say: "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me".

Another Jacek's FWP, I wanted to go to https://www.badenfahrt.ch but it has rained out.

Tell her you need to talk...on a very serious tone... that would buy you some time.

Steve Bannon was fired/resigned (news sources are still conflicted).

He was not my pick in our "White House Survivor" office poll, aka "Who will Trump axe next?", so I lost

Completely the wrong strategy. If Yacek cleans the house for the first time in 10 years when she's away then she'll immediately presume he's got something to hide.

Yacek, throw yourself under a bus.
