I do believe he is, and whilst he isn't educationally gifted, he has intuition and emotional maturity that have made him a multi-millionaire.

I saw him, complete with gleaming teeth, but don't know who he is. I'd have to look him up!

Re: The First World Problem Thread

A Migro's store nearby was designed so that you take many extra steps to go through the proper entrance vs. the retail checkouts which is right in front of the overall entrance of the store. They block off the unused checkouts but one day someone is going to crack and hop over that barricade.

My other half is out tonight, so I'm going to have to postpone the GoT finale until tomorrow...

Or, I watch it, and fake it tomorrow.
I faked a Vietnamese soup tonight .... it was pretty good actually (no Vietnamese present to judge it).
Faking is so much more productive these days

I never iShare location and my iNeeds with my spouse. Especially, when I'm in my magic sanctuary just quietly contemplating life and following the news on the EF. Daily morning routine ended up in relief for a whole day.

Parenting dilemma -

my kids are lying on their beds reading. Yes, reading books (!) not even playing with tablets or phones.
And I want to go outside in the sun and play

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Explaining to the kids about the Dark Ages where we couldn't just Whatsapp our friends, and ask them to send a photo of what we had to do, if we forgot our homework at school.

Aaaaaaaaaaaannnnnndddd.. it even tooks WEEEEEKS after we took a photo, to get it developed.

I am understanding how the neanderthal felt when those tall walking sapiens turned up.

Don't yield to temptation. We parents should serve good examples to our kids after all.

But if you make a pinhole camera and get some positive photopaper and show them how it used to work, those same kids will be convinced that you are some kind of wizard, endowed with supernatural powers.

And... if you decide to try this, be sure to buy a fair amount of paper and developer... demonstrating your super powers will set off a craze which lasts about a month or so.

The old analogue cameras seem to catch the range of colours at sunset much better than the digital ones do

At college we had a darkroom where you do your own black and white processing. and one of the keener guys involved bought film in bulk for us, so it was relatively quick, and most important as students, affordable.

Black and white photography was a good way to get started with your first SLR camera.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

One single mosquito woke me up about every 15 minutes last night. Result: I'm unscathed but knackered.
How long does it take a mosquito to starve to death? Is it expecting me to continue that game tonight?
