I had to put a bandaid on my finger, and now my new iPhone can’t read my fingerprint to unlock!

Use a passcode and your FWP will be solved.

I wanted to give the fingerprint tech a chance , but honestly I’m not convinced...

Imagine if I had the new iPhone X with facial recognition and I developed a big pimple on my nose or something

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I registered a finger on hubbys phone then couldn't remember which finger. Haven't managed to turn it on intentionally since but last week I picked it up as it made a noise, it decided to unlock & took a photo of the desk.I still don't know how I managed that.

I had a dessert at 5:30pm, now I feel almost jetlagged. Time-shift.

I fell in love with Maine on my very first visit. All these years of roaming around the USA, but evidently, I missed the memo about this great state

Additionally, I watched no news for almost 2 weeks. I dread going back to Washington DC.

Funny you should mention Maine...

Whenever I get particularly down in the dumps about the horror that is the Swiss property market (FWP#1), whenever living in a shoebox in a fishbowl without privacy or personal autonomy (FWP#2) particularly gets me down, I try to distract myself by looking at properties back home, dreaming of the day...

Historic property sites are one of my guilty pleasures. Took a peek at one today and found this, an island off the coast of Maine. As in, the whole island. Gloriously alone. No neighbors, no Nachbarrecht. (FWP#3)

http://circaoldhouses.com/property/b...-green-island/

Maine is now on my where-to-retire list.

Interesting, no mention of the other property on the island. Is that included and does it mean you would have a neighbour?

No, you are all alone, the other house is just an outbuilding, included in the property - albeit an outbuilding that is larger than my Swiss house.

The Muttley Crew would have to learn to swim, though. The current shelties seem to think that they will melt in water. (FWP#4)

One can dream...
