Re: The First World Problem Thread

Ah, you all just want a drudge to do your dirty laundry for you. At the speed this fancy thing goes (5 hours 16 minutes to do a standard cotton wash, rinse and spin! ) I'd be dead before I got through 700 volunteers' laundry.

5 hours 16 minutes? Does it make the water out of Hydrogen and Oxygen it pulls out of the atmosphere?

I had to to do an intense reading of the manual plus some math equations to determine that there’s basically 2 programmes that are worth it (ie, less than 90-180min long) on my machine...

No idea, but it's darn near vibrated itself of its plinth with the spin cycle and that's with anti-vibration pads fitted. Just lucky we were keeping an eye on it as there seemed to be a lot of vibration when I used it yesterday. Call to the engineer tomorrow as that ain't right.

It's one of those new fangled double action things. You have to sit on it while it vibrates. Saves buying a rubber ducky.

Me, too.
Now, Medea, you have three "helpers". If you find another 696 volunteers, and do your own laundry once, you'll have the chance to try all 700 cycles out.
I'm in.

That's what I call "community spirit"!
It's the compensation program for non-knitters.

5 hours 16 minutes is actually amazing for 700 programs

If the mfr. offers it, pay for the extended warranty cover right now. Even the top model of V.Zug are sometimes lemons, but if you pay for the extended warranty you can just make them replace the whole machine bit by bit. (been there, done that)

Sitting on a vibrating washer?

This thread is confusing.

I just know I have to unpack, prep work, study and throw in a load. (FWP being the unpack, me thinks). Melusine - 15' quick cycle on 40deg isn't so bad either, just not for your usual plaground muddy knees and elbows.

Not even really good seats and easy access to inordinate amounts of booze can make American Football interesting. Who knew?

Don't you have a manly lumberjack neighbor who is still up, doing his laundry?

Okay, as long as he's got his priorities right, with regard to doing everyone's laundry.
