Re: The First World Problem Thread

Oh, nooooo! Finally got around to dragging myself through the online shopping. At considerable mental cost to myself, I managed to selected items. Just as I thought I could take no more and would click through to the cash desk The System, or maybe just me, deleted my whole shopping basket, irretrievably.

EDIT: I retrieved my shopping basket after all, and bought the stuff. Drained me, though.

My cousin is getting an OBE but can't tell us why because she's a secret squirrel. I'm thrilled for her, but it's so frustrating too.
OBE or MBE, she and the reason should be on this list

Depends if Blueangel means she's physically being awarded it soon or whether her name will be on the 2018 New Year's Honour's list.

Why do we still have so much paperwork?
Just spent several hours clearing out the filing cabinet and I'm still only half way through
I started the paperless office thing at home several years ago by scanning everything into the computer, and where applicable shredding the originals.

Yes it's very nice being able to retrieve stuff on the computer, but if you need a hard copy you just have to print the thing again, might as well keep the originals.

You didn't get the cosmic message which was: You don't need all that stuff.

The updated firefox has the refresh button on the left - and after two days I'm still looking for it on the right hand side.

My own home made soup burned my own palate while I was reading a paper on attention engineers.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

A full day at work takes so much out of me that I can't even wind down and relax by planning the holiday that I'm looking so much forward to. I pretty much go almost straight to bed, or I'm forced to work a bit more before that.

I always thought that procrastination tendencies would put relax / pleasure ahead of work that could be delayed until the last minute. It's not working... (pun intended)
