Re: The First World Problem Thread

When I get into my car and start the motor the radio starts but with very low volume. I have to turn up the sound manually.
They tell me this is a safety feature and there is no possibility to adjust the start volume

Oh, count your blessings! A friend's car has a similar disorder, but in the opposite direction. Before starting the motor he has to brace himself, and hold one finger above the radio's OFF button, ready to shut the thing down instantly, while everyone in the car gasps from the blast!

I finally tasted the much-anticipated ruby cocoa bean chocolate that seems to be all the rage at the moment.

And the verdict: an underwhelming 'meh'.

Ok, it was a ruby cocoa bean KitKat, so that might have been the reason...

Surely we don't need to tell you how to fix that, do we?

Lol. The real FWP is that I keep making myself English breakfast because I got started on it again there. So much hustle.

ITYM "hassle". But yeah, having to actually do something to get the food you crave is absolutely the definition of FWP.

Thanks for validating my FWP

En plus, this addiction takes a lot of egg shopping. Egg hassle.

I told the post to delete my account with them (as I refuse to produce a Swiss-ID).
They wrote to me they did as I asked.
They still send me emails about parcels they will deliver and when.
The only difference is: They don't deliver the parcels accordingly.

So what exactly did they delete? What ever it is, it is not "as I asked".
We have accounts with post.ch based on emails, no Swiss id. I find it useful for package delivery and if we need to have our mail held when we go away.

As for package delivery, it’s correct about 75-80 % of the time.

The annoying thing is that it’s one account per person, not household.

While I agree it’s a first world problem, it’s only a problem in two first world countries! https://www.independent.co.uk/travel...-a7802366.html

Thanks to someone lighting up a late night BBQ, my bedroom now smells of lighter fuel and grilled meat.

A large swan stole my beef sausage straight from the grill yesterday. He ate it, hissed at me and then did a poo right next to my picnic blanket. Last week the same swan tried to steal my schlanger-brot but I managed to grab him by the neck with my bbq tongs. Its chaos out there, I tells ya.

My daughter evidently discovered my secret stash of Stalder pudding.

This means I can plunder her Calippos. (As if I wouldn't notice them under the cold packs for her knee.)
