The view of Mt. Blanc is distracting me from my PC screen.

It took me two hours to recover from the lavish lunch I enjoyed.

There was a wedding reception at the hotel where we stayed over the weekend, so we had to put up with live music and a fireworks show to end the evening.

Smuggle yourself into the wedding and enjoy free drinks. Just drink enough and sleep won't be a problem afterwards

A tad? I was thinking about turning the electric heater on.
I'm not kidding. But decided not to be a wimp ..... not before tomorrow. "They" got tonight to put this right.

Put on your long johns and wrap yourself in your old ladies shawl

I swam my usual 1 Km in the Rhine this evening and I confess the weather was a little fresh when I climbed out.

Just because your old lady wears one, doesn't mean mine does..

Re: The First World Problem Thread

So I came home to the sight of the shredded remnants of a chocolate box all over the carpet.

Quickly calculating toxicity per kg per dog, I hit the panic button. Not knowing who the culprit was, I bundled all three into the car and headed out to the vet clinic.

Unpleasant injections to induce vomiting all around.

Once the dust had settled (and the aftermath of three dogs on an emetic cleaned up) I told my husband what had happened.

"Erm... I ate the chocolate last night. I must have left the empty box for the mutts to find."

FWP: Wallet quite a bit lighter for no good reason, it will be beans on toast for the rest of the week.

Dogs and husbands, gotta luv 'em.

Tell him next time he gets to go to the vet clinic for shots and vomiting! Glad the muttley crew are all okay though.

I missed Kaleo in Paleo.
When I got the e-mail notification of a new post in this thread I mis-read the message as "I kissed Kaleo in Paleo." Was going to ask who the hell is he and why is it a first world problem? Must be Friday.

And you don't even know how kissable he is.

I think I will swap my ukulele classes, back to rock bass guitar.

Kaleo is a band. Not a he. Okay, to be fair, its 4 he's.

I love their sound though. Irrespective of any other detail.
