You should have had it delivered.

We did. But we wanted it in a different room after realising it didn't work in the original location. It came in a ginormous van.

You can take most sofas to bits (or at least remove the sides/arm rests).

I had to take a sofa upstairs inside our place not so long ago and the stairs are really quite narrow.

If you unstaple the dust cover underneath the sofa then you get access to the bolts which old the sides on. You can unscrew these making three manageable bits to carry.

Then you just need to re-attach the sides and re-staple the bottom and you're finished.

Having said that, taking a door off the hinges is easier but if that doesn't work then...

Can be a problem if you only just barely slipped into the next higher tax-category.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Some guys from an art auction house in Bern show up today for a visit.

Ask the wife, "how much are you looking to get for this one?"

Me, expecting her to say "10", she says "40", and they say "70 is more like it".

Tom

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I never see posters informing people that the pet cat or dog they lost has been found.
It's stressful for me. Do the owners realise they had stirred some emotional response from the neighbourhood and left it at that? I want my 'found' press release on my bus stop now!

"dissertated"?

I think you must have broken something.

Feet up, large bowl of ice cream, and binge watch is my suggestion.

Study groups lingo, sorry. The terms are virtually universal but not worn proudly.

I am not really somebody to unwind in a traditional sense. I could learn, I know. I unwind through creating something, it is a b$%^#ch I tell, ya. It is probably a 2-3rd world problem, though. Neighbors getting fed and warm, family eating from irregular handmade dishes, lol.
