I always press it before I even turn the corner, so by the time I actually pull up to the door, it is open.

(You got a mask?) | | | | | There's not enough smoke around to bother with atm, and most masks people were wearing were pretty much useless - the particle size of wood smoke is small enough to get through anyway. Also of little to no help against catching somebody else's disease, but polite to help catch a lot of your own germ sprays. | Quote: | | | | | Not sure you're going to get cold... Its been 10+ far too many days this winter! | | | | | Anything below 25 will be most welcome! Went to a wedding today in 33 degree heat ... that's Celsius, btw, otherwise I would've been both surprised and happy.

My 11-year old has a cold, so I "have to" work from home. Have to have several meeting online, and the bloody iPhone headphones hurt my ears. |

Usually they're listed as "gaming headsets" when you search online retailers. Bulky, yes, but far more comfortable - and when you're at home, it doesn't really matter how bulky they are.
If you need to be able to hear your 11-y-o as well, just slip the headphones off one ear ...
Admittedly this won't help this time, but you can be prepared for the next ...

Made a sandwich. Nice wholemeal bread, cucumber, roast pork, lettuce and Branston pickle. When I tried to slice it across the diagonal, the whole thing fell apart.
And my tea isn't strong enough.

My tomato juice tasted funny. Out of date?
Nope - veggie juice (with sourcrout and celery root?!? ).
Stacked on the wrong shelf obviously (the others were tomato as desired) - and that was before the Corona stress they are under now.
Ah well, one more litre to go and I'm actually getting used to the taste.

Was hit by a hot flush (no, I don't have those habitually ). It's Corona time so I thought "oh shit" and took my temperature. All well. Then I checked the room temperature: 27.5°C!
Floor heating is having a hard time these days with the temperatures going up and down and the sun shining through the (not very up-to-date = night problem) huge windows now. It doesn't seem to be very concerned about thermostat settings (set to 22°C). The whole system is simply too sluggish.
Used this for a very thorough, luxurious airing.

Be grateful we have plenty of toilet paper available in Switzerland. The US is shi**ing its pants over the lack of toilet paper in stock.

We normally basically live outside, either schools, work, beaches, slopes or gyms, wherever. I am dreading the power bill.
