My friends in South Africa and Poland think that Switzerland is an Eldorado. In reality we are in limbo with the 8th country in Europe having the highest COVID19 rate, which means statistically, more than 1 in a 1000 of inhabitants are infected according to this: https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/ | The following 2 users would like to thank jacek for this useful post:

Should I not have written that? Why does PayPal constantly change it's GTC?! Can't they make up their mind?
I hardly ever use paypal but they beat every spammer I ever came accross.
All I want is an additional possibility to make payments. Not a pen pal.

You mean they "force" the changes on them? My paypal runs via mastercard and I use it when there are too many codes and information (like my handy-no.) demanded to pay directly with mastercard. | Quote: | | | | | Blame it on lawyers, bored in home office. | | | | | Naaa, they're doing this for blooming years now. The rise since home office set in is minimal in comparison. (Lazy bas**ards ) | Quote: | | | | | When are we supposed to change the clocks for summer time? But you can do it anytime you don't have to meet anyone on time anymore So if you're on home-office and lock down, you can do it now. | This user would like to thank curley for this useful post:

Paypal keeps sending me updates to their T&Cs in German. Each and every time I reply asking for French or English. Never got a response so I just delete their message.
How can I be legally bound by something I don’t understand?

How can I be legally bound by something I don’t understand? | | | | | Oh man, I just checked one change.
For example in the quick info it says:
<<Teile der PayPal-Nutzungsbedingungen wurden geändert, um bestehende Formulierungen zu präzisieren und Tippfehler zu korrigieren. Davon betroffen sind insbesondere die folgenden Abschnitte:>>
( parts of paypal conditions of use were changed in order to define sth. more precisely and to correct typos. The following paragraphs are affected by that:)
Then they tell you where you can find the change and that the change (the "typo" is 60 days and should be/is changed to 20 days.
When you go check the details: When grave changes are made to the regulations they will inform you 20 days (before, "typo" 60 days) before. Should you use paypal after, you agree. The same thing should they stop one/part of their services they will let you know about it 20 days in advance (the type was 60 days).
This is not correcting typos, this is a heavy change. But most people won't know as they stop reading at "..... we corrected some typos".
I can't stop laughing. They get away with this shit? I'm surprised any companies actually accept paypal after reading this. They never know where they're at with this bunch.

Mind you I haven’t actually used it for some years. Can someone, much smarter than me, help me cancel my account in a language I don’t understand.

You don't need to cancel it as it doesn't bother you. I opened mine in 2013, never used it, in fact had forgotten all about it, until I used it a couple of months ago.
The interesting bit is: for 7 years I hardly ever got those emails about SBT-changes and now suddenly I do. So did they change them less often in these 7 years or did they forget about me as I forgot about them?
You could of course approach them and ask, where you can correct your typo of signing up to them.

I discovered I must have a subconscious fear of egg-shortage. I have 16 eggs in the fridge plus 5 I already hard-boiled. WTF?
And I can't throw a Sunday brunch for friends tomorrow.

Got any bacon and cheese? Make a quiche.
My problem is that I don't have any decent crackers ... to go with my port and cheese.
