I think it's a teacher thing (aside of programming yourself to a regular routine). It's not like we can ever be late. To anything.
I haven't made enought tater salad. It's always better the day after..

Was baking a triple chocolate cake today. The three chocolates are cocoa powder + melted plain chocolate in the batter, with chocolate chips stirred in at the end.
Got too busy trying to prepare lunch at the same time, and was only half paying attention to the cake preparation.
My cake is in the oven and half-risen already, but just noticed that there is still an unopened packet of chocolate chips on the counter. Quelle horreur!
We will have to endure a pathetic "double chocolate cake". I am sure it will be horrible. Might as well feed it to the pigs.

...yesterday on Christmas hangover( my holiday 18.12 to 04.01) have to write an comprehensive email to stop a stupid thread of 30 emails that start at 14.00 on 18.12, obviously when I already left the office...all year I was the eyes on the ground, all of them working from home...obviously they didn't get holiday, they find to debate client comments exactly when I gone in holiday, as they lost perception of space working from home, stupid comments starts trickle...no choice, have to put in place all the cogs, otherwise when will come back from holiday have to answer to a hundred emails...

Now what are you gonna do on your first day back?!? |

. | | | | | I think it's general. But I try to educate myself for a few good years to cook less food so I won't have to force anyone in my family to eat the same things for a week. They're very picky.
My mom would just throw it away if she thinks it's a bit off, but I literally feel a pain when I have to bin food here...

As for eating the same thing for a week, my kids would be happy with that if it was "the right thing".

I hate writing the amounts in text form for contracts: 91 751,29 becomes quatre-vingt onze mille sept cent cinquante et un et vingt-neuf centimes
Also hate the base-20 system.

A friend sent me shortbread biscuits as a Christmas gift. They're all gone, but I'm still in quarantine so I can't pop out to a shop and get more. |
