The nice lady in COOP went off script today by engaging in small talk, thus forcing me to admit that I can't speak CH-German

For some reason, in one city the 4* hotel of the chain is more expensive than same chain's 5*. I would normally book the 5*, of course, but now I'm worried that there's something wrong with it. More expensive must be better, right?

Maybe it depends on location. The 4* may be more convenient and in more demand by some travelers.

Had to walk for 10 min. to the canteen in the work under rain, because I didn't look through the window before leaving.

I went for a hike the other day. A public trail popular with all sorts of hikers, cyclists, parents, kids and dog walkers.

Despite no incident occurring, a group of all categories were arguing about who had the greater right to be on the path, who should move for who, who should wait at the side and let the others pass, how much space one should leave due to their own insecurities and paranoia.

I wished them all a happy new year, stroked the dogs, offered sweets to the kids and warned the cyclist about a fallen tree up ahead.

In other countries, people just get on with it.

That is a swiss french vs swiss german thing!!

The SBB ticket person found my French so bad he insisted on talking English with me

Guess when people ask me how my French is I can't say That I can get by ordering food or buying train tickets anymore!

I've found the SBB staff to have 'selective' hearing.

Some idiot left the parcel shelf up when rushing off to speak bad French to the SBB employee this morning meaning that I had to get out of my car in the pouring rain to rectify it or risk having an accident.

not sure this shouldn't go under complaints (his or mine), neither of us pleased.

rolled over on Blaze the other night, woke me up with 30 seconds of neighing! you'd think after two+ years in storage his voice box would not work. dutch toys for you, too well made.
