OMG that is simply awful! How long do you have to live with THAT picture?
They really should ask for an appointment first.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I only go shopping in Germany once a week, and that`s when I buy my whisky. BUT I`m only allowed ONE bottle!

The rationing makes me panic - and then I drink more than I should.

I wonder if I ask nicely, if the Zoll guys will allow me to swop my meat ration for alcohol?

App on my phone keeps notifying me it has auto backup for me some "Awesome photos", and showing all my whatsapp selfies and belfies from whatsapp conversations with my husband while he is away a lot lately.. yes I do think they are awesome but they are for his eyes only, stop putting them on my notifications bar!

Another one from tonight, I had a bath and I realised I had left my shampoo in the shower-room. I had to make do with the kids' shampoo! Having a rough night

Internet is 2004 slow and my IT husband is out of the country. I tried turning the router off and on again but it didn't work, now I am out of ideas

Don't worry: they're cleaning the internet pipeline between Siebnen and Pfaffikon at the moment, which is causing delays all across Ausserschwyz.

They should be finished by the weekend, and everything should be back to normal - in fact, it should be a bit quicker if they manage to shift the blockage of livestock erotica that built up just behind Wangen.

Wife said yesterday that worrying about which side of the valley to live on wrt amount of sun on the property is a first world problem. I want the forums to tell me if she is right.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

The neighbor brought over ice cream cake for afternoon dessert. The nutrition information on the box is per 100 ml. I can weigh the cake of course but that's in grams not ml. Am I supposed to melt the whole thing to get the volume so I get a proper calorie count?

You could just squish it into a measuring jug. The more you squish it down, the less calories it has.

Edit.. Like broken biscuits. Broken biscuits have no calories. It's true. Honest.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Why don't I have enough time to sit at my computer and find out which star has cancer and which one is getting married???

My social life is suffering because I don't have anything interesting to contribute to discussions.

The specific density of ice cream is ~0.8, so for example 100 ml = 80g

Ooh, aren't we a clever boy? Now tell me the specific density of the cake that is layered in between the ice cream and we might get somewhere. OTOH, maybe I'm just going to eat the cake no matter how many kcals it has.

The top two returns on my Google search didn't help me answer this question.

measuring the density of heterogeneous material

I give up.
