Wife said yesterday that worrying about which side of the valley to live on wrt amount of sun on the property is a first world problem. I want the forums to tell me if she is right.
If you stay in bed until after the sun rises and you like the sun then you need to live on the side of the valley that gets the first morning sun.

If on the other hand you enjoy late evenings and sitting outdoors then you need to live on the opposite side.

If you sometimes sleep late and are not concerned about sunshine, and evenings you spend watching TV, then you could live in the middle of the valley, where there`s only sunshine during the middle of the day.

If you always get up early, and go to bed early, then it doesn`t matter where you live.

Yes, your wife is correct - you have a first world problem.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I receive lots of emails with unwanted services which ask me to unsubscribe in case I do not wish to receive them anymore. How do they get hold of my email address? Why do I need to unsubscribe from something that I have never requested at the first place? Mind boggling!

I don't know how to recycle in Switzerland. Seriously.

I am debating whether to spend 2.5k or 3k.....on a mattress.

Sunrise mobile operator guy gave me crappy internet. Told me first 500mb would be 4g and the rest is unlimited at normal 3G speeds. Lies.

Flying to Dublin this weekend, I cannot decide whether I should use public transport from Baden to Basel which will cost us CHF60 in total or use airport parking which will cost us CHF66. But we are still excited about the whole trip nonetheless

Great, what takes you to Dublin? My former hometown, so if you need advice, just go on to tripadvisor

Ah good man, you should also check out the Jameson distillery. It's not that far from the Guinness storehouse. It's in a place called Smithfield which can sometimes feel a bit rough but is usually ok, and there are some great pubs in the pedestrian square there where you will get some good trad music.

I wouldn't spend too much time in Temple bar - too many stags and hen parties at night and the prices are a rip off, even by Irish standards. But it's certainly worth a walk through during the day.

Sounds like a plan. We will stay for 5 nights close to St Stephen's Green and visit family in Bray. I cannot wait to hit some local pubs. Last time I went to Temple Bar and looked at Liffey river from Half Penny bridge was about 20 years ago. Very curious how the place looks like now.

Why does coin money have to be so heavy?

And paper money is SO big it has to be folded to fit in my wallet.

And why are credit cards, membership cards, driving licences etc. all so big? I can't find a single small wallet that will hold them all as well as the minimum required few hundred chuffs, and still fit in my back pocket

shouldn't the complaint be about your iPhone being so old that it doesn't have a fingerprint scanner?

United Business Class always seems to have asparagus in their starter course. It makes my pee smell funny later in the flight after drinking the free booze.
