Ugh, I'm so annoyed they don't sell Lindt at the Migros in front of our apartment. Now we are forced to go all the way to Coop to buy some...
things are tough all over but i wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

Pah - that is nothing!

At work I have a German keyboard which I use as an English one. At home I have an American one - which is used as is - otherwise it will bring its kind of keyboardness to every other keyboard.

That means I have the @ in 3 different locations!

(And don't get me started on the work security - as this defaults to German - and so the @ moves)

What? I love the Swiss keyboard. All those right at your fingertips, and all the characters moved around so you have to hit alt gr to get a blessed @ symbol, and a $ right next to the carriage return is so handy.

Over the New Year they've added Ebay to the list of sites I can't access from work.

For me, the Swiss keyboard is the best. The US keyboard would have been the best if it had the accents, , umlaut, , signs...

The French AZERTY keyboard is one of the worst: very unfriendly layout:

M next to L, reversed numbers / signs (you have to press shift to enter a number)...

Re: The First World Problem Thread

You may have a look at the United States-International Keyboard layout.

Quote:
Since the standard US keyboard layout in Microsoft Windows offers no way of inputting any sort of diacritic or accent, this makes it unsuitable for all but a handful of languages unless the US International layout is used. The US International layout changes the `, ~, ^, " (for ), and ' (for ) keys into dead keys for producing accented characters. The US International layout also uses the right alt (AltGr) as a modifier to enter special characters. Although there is no UK International layout on Windows, XP SP2 and above provide a UK Extended layout which, if activated, will allow the user to enter a wide variety of diacritics (such as grave accents) which are not accommodated by the standard UK layout.
Source Wikipedia.

PS: You do not have to physically own this keyboard to use it. It is just a setting in your operating system.

I had to drive the car to work today because the train which is normally 30 seconds late was on time! And I didn't want to wait 15 more minutes for the next one to arrive!
