Never ever had any Apple product to crash unexpectedly on me before. But today my iPhone 6plus switched off for no reason just like that. Hard reset multiple times didn't help. Eventually, it woke up after gazillion of attempts connected to iTunes. Spent hours on restoring it back to original state, to find out that later in the evening it has crashed again. WTF?

I am really furious because its not only a mere smartphone to me but its my daily business and life. I wanna go to Glattbrug tomorrow first thing in the morning and have a serious talk with Apple. (I hope its not fecken iOS9.3.1 update bug) ... Normally, I am a cool guy, but today I'm really pissed off.

I read a really long post on this thread and it wasn't the first world problem quality post that I expected.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

After years of sleep problems, I finally found a sleeping pill that works. I spent 50 franks stockpiling the thing and then abruptly my sleep is fine and has been great for months, so all of this will probably expire.

Some medications don't really expire, they just become less effective over time. I'm still working on a bottle of ibuprofen that "expired" in 2014 and it continues to work fine. Not sure how long before sleeping pills become less effective, perhaps one of our pharma gurus can chime in.

And how about vitamin pills? I bought some multi vitamin pills in 2005 before I went to live in China, as I wasn't sure what the food would be like. Turns out I spent the time eating more fresh fruit and veg than I'd ever had before. So I still have the pills. I took one about 3 years ago the last time I had a cold, but whether it made any difference I've no way to determine.

As I understand it, from my wife who studied as a pharmacologist, most of the time there's no loss in chemical efficacy over time, but packaging may become damaged or otherwise lose integrity, and similar with pill coatings, binding agents or capsule materials.

Many oral drugs are treated either in their entirety, e.g. with a coated tablet or at a smaller particle level, to release more slowly over time, and it's possible that a breakdown of the product could give rise to much faster release, so care should be taken with such drugs, but as long as the packaging and contents look to be intact they should be fine. Even then, standard stuff like Ibuprofen or Paracetamol (aka Acetominophen) should be fine even if it's crumbling; might not taste good, though

It was snowing so much the other day that the distance sensor on my adaptive cruise control got covered up while I was driving so I had to control the speed of my car myself like some sort of pleb

I had Haribo Tangfastics for breakfast. Because I didn't want toast or cereal or fruit.

Update, I got injured at football and had to go to the hospital. On the way there I could use Uber but Horgen appears to be so backward that there's no Ubers. A 9km taxi ride set me back 50 chuffs.

I no longer have too much cash.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

I voted in the bi-weekly poll and after thinking on it further, realised I should have selected the other option. I think.

And I don't know what Tapatalk is.
