Re: The First World Problem Thread

I made the mistake of answering a question on Facebook, and got myself down the rabbit hole of an online debate with an anti-vaxxer.

Someone on the internet is wrong!!!!!

Couldn't find the exact shade I wanted in "my" brand of hair dye. Had to go with Dark Garnet. Sound like a bit player off Tatooine...

Laid up in bed unwell over Easter allowed me the time to watch all the period dramas on Netflix.

There are none left

Can't get past level 315 on candy crush and now the battery is nearly empty on my tablet. Looks like I'll have to use my phone or laptop.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Never ever had any Apple product to crash unexpectedly on me before. But today my iPhone 6plus switched off for no reason just like that. Hard reset multiple times didn't help. Eventually, it woke up after gazillion of attempts connected to iTunes. Spent hours on restoring it back to original state, to find out that later in the evening it has crashed again. WTF?

I am really furious because its not only a mere smartphone to me but its my daily business and life. I wanna go to Glattbrug tomorrow first thing in the morning and have a serious talk with Apple. (I hope its not fecken iOS9.3.1 update bug) ... Normally, I am a cool guy, but today I'm really pissed off.

I read a really long post on this thread and it wasn't the first world problem quality post that I expected.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

After years of sleep problems, I finally found a sleeping pill that works. I spent 50 franks stockpiling the thing and then abruptly my sleep is fine and has been great for months, so all of this will probably expire.

Some medications don't really expire, they just become less effective over time. I'm still working on a bottle of ibuprofen that "expired" in 2014 and it continues to work fine. Not sure how long before sleeping pills become less effective, perhaps one of our pharma gurus can chime in.

And how about vitamin pills? I bought some multi vitamin pills in 2005 before I went to live in China, as I wasn't sure what the food would be like. Turns out I spent the time eating more fresh fruit and veg than I'd ever had before. So I still have the pills. I took one about 3 years ago the last time I had a cold, but whether it made any difference I've no way to determine.
