Choosing slippers for the next Swiss dinner party: should they match my socks and trousers, or match the carpet at the dinner party?
Wooden clogs would be the perfect solution if wooden floor.

I want to post a "Friday thread" but I can't find my inspiration today.

You could start a thread of "Inspirational/Entrepreneurial" job titles for folk who don't actually want/need a job. There's clearly a space for it.

All those new German lessons threads, which keep popping up on EF, annoy me.

I keep forgetting to unsubscribe to threads I'm on and now I can't see the wood from the trees in my inbox. I blame all the threads on Brexit

Feast or famine, eh?

I like getting one or two so I don't turn it off completely. It's only the Brexit posts have been coming in thick and fast today - swamped, I was.

After going down the Kindle rabbit hole I've just discovered that three authors I particularly admire are, in actual fact, all the same person. And she also has a day job. I feel highly inferior...

I hate it when that happens. Also pulling the ring off a ring pull when the business end is still attached to the damn can which you now have no way of opening...

Not as bad as when the Corned Beef refuses to come out of the can without violence.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

My mini retractable cable mouse just died. My hands are just a bit too small to comfortably use a "normal" sized mouse and I have a hell of a lot of work to do. The mouse pad is not a practical option.

I'm not sure, as a Brit, whether I can tell FWPs any more but here goes: My ice-cream is so cold it took ages to scoop it out into a bowl.

Re: The First World Problem Thread

Facebook asks me what is on my mind before I've started my first coffee, then tells me what is on other peoples minds before I've finished it. Given that there are a whole 24 hours of minds left and right of me my coffee is inevitably cold before I even get to EF.
