Bottom line: You do not have the creative ads that for example American lawyers come up with because you do not have the same level of competiotion.
I'm glad we don't have those. They suck big time. "Have you ever been hit by an plum falling from a tree? Call 1-743-HIT-PLUM. We are there for you 24/7 to help you sue those careless farmers." And that 16 times a day. Creative? Just as much as ecnalubma chasing.

I have a few Swiss friends that make tons of money in advertizing creating ads for companies for years. Their easy rules are always succinct, pure dullness;and horribly plain simple with no expressions what so ever.
Stolid - that's the word for Swiss advertising.

Must remember stolid. Useful word for describing many aspects of life here.

I have to say, I am impressed with the new Migros Total detergent campaign.

The "your black bear back to polar bear" or "panther back to tiger".

I think they were very well done and will have to go out and buy some Total detergent

. What drives this trend? An innate desire for truthfulness? Lack of competition? A nationwide creative bypass?
Easy. Too much logic and not enough fantasy and imagination in the Swiss pysche.

1. The higher the budget, the better the quality. You cannot compare the strength of an ant with the one of a whale.

2. The higher the budget, the better the quality. If you only select crappy examples, then you will only find crappy examples.

3. The higher the budget, the better the quality. As long as you cannot show that you can make a better campaign with the same budget I will not buy you.

4. The higher the budget, the better the quality. As long as you are not able to prove that your much more expensive campaign will have a substantial better ROI or a respective better market share, do not intend to knock again on my door.

5. As long as a cheap, but maybe stupid looking campaign sells, I stick to it and laugh about your superior, but useless nothing.

6. Are these (see attachments) examples of the superior marketing?

7. Given the fact you hang around here proves you are nopthing than foolish losers.

Pretty obviously not Swiss either... just like half the examples posted in the last couple of posts. Just because the company like Nestle is Swiss does not mean that the creative people they hired to make a Nespresso spot are. (George Clooney being in it speaking English is a bit of a hint in my opinion...)

I just got carried away. I didn't post because of Swiss or not, or German etc.

Buuut a while a go I wanted to start a thread about the stupid commercials Brits do!
