Tourist loses passport & wallet in Switzerland; Gets it back 18 years later!

What a nice surprise for the chap who lost his items somewhere between Zurich and Geneva! Oddly enough they were found in Chur....

Last Summer my spouse was looking for his cycle helmet (which is distinctive and was a custom made gift). He just couldn't think what he had done with it and assumed he would never see it again. A fortnight later he called in at one of the small Migros downtown stores on the way home from work to buy a cold drink. As he was walking out, he spotted his helmet - in the very same place where he'd left it when he was last in there to buy a cold drink!

I do love the honesty of (almost all) the Swiss people, that they wouldn't dream of taking something which they find - I'm always seeing obviously lost items placed on bushes, walls, benches etc. for the owners to find if they retrace their steps

Maybe we should take a look in this shopping centre for the camera my hubby left on a train two years ago.

Pfft. I left my bag in the lounge at Zurich airport. When I came back a few hours later there were just bits of tattered cloth and a man with a machine gun
