Hearing aids

How much do hearing aids cost here? Sites seem to be very closed about prices. My MIL has a hearing aid in one ear that cost chf 3,000 - she has now transferred it to the other ear as she's bought a new one for chf 4,000, and the old one falls out when she sneezes or chews, plus she has put cellotape around it. It is so tiny she can barely see it which seems utterly ridiculous. Why make something so tiny for old people who can hardly see or hear, let alone change the batteries. I was thinking she'd be better with glasses with hearing aids in the arms but she doesn't know how much that would cost either.
Does anyone have any helpful insights or info?
