English Arts & Culture Meet-Up

I am a 66 year old Londoner who has retired to Zurich. I would welcome the chance to meet up on a regular basis with other folk in similar circumstances.
My interests are Art, Music, Reading, Photography, Philosophy, Current Affairs, Cooking, Wine and Food. However my prime interest is travel as I have lived variously in Israel, Belgium, Australia, Italy and now Switzerland over the past 30 years. I am a Humanist with a great need to understand other beliefs and cultures. Anyone who would like to meet initially for coffee and then to establish a regular meet-up please contact me.

Looks like a nice initiative. Unfortunately I don't live in the neighbourhood. Wish you will have some positive responses soon.

Thanks Kittekat for your support. Where are you? I'm in Eglisau north of Zurich, maybe we can catch up some day.

Re: English Arts & Culture Meet-Up

Greetings to you. Welcome to EF. Eglisau is our neighbour town. If you get desperate enough for "local" culture you`re welcome to join us in extended family/friends evenings (in winter, daytime only in summer) of darts playing in barn with music, local wines and beer. (sorry, my keyboard is acting up and won`t allow me to make paragraphs, or other things to make myself look a bit more cultured).
We consist of, guitar player, singers, book author, genealogy researcher, carpenters, builders, artist (me), gardeners, and assorted con-artists (me included in various of those fields).
Wish you luck in meeting more enlightened and cultured folk than us, but as I said ... maybe you get desperate enough.

Smoky,

you sound perfect and such talented people! If you've got room for me and my Aussie wife we'd love to join you at your next get together.

Cheers.

Martin

You`re most welcome. I`ll just have to warn the rest to .... behave themselves?...... wear clean clothes ..... not drink too much. At least the first time.

Will pm you later.

Smoky,

I'd be much happier if they didn't behave themselves, wore dirty clothes and drank as much as they liked.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best

Martin
