Mailing nail polish from CH

Hi all,
can anyone tell me if there are any mailing restrictions for sending nail polish from switzerland? For example, I know in the UK you cannot send nail polish abroad, only domestically within the UK, because it's considered flammable. Are there similar constraints within switzerland?

Thanks

Same, I've never had a problem when ordering from the online beauty sites.

Re: Mailing nail polish from CH

I'm actually thinking of starting a nail polish side business so this isn't about receiving nail polish, rather sending it within CH and across Europe. Does anyone know what the mail rules are? Thanks

If that doesn't help, maybe try the post office, they probably know better than EF

Re: Mailing nail polish from CH

The wife had one nail polish bottle as part of a larger package.

This was returned to the sender in the UK so you've been warned.

Arrived in Switzerland and the assholes sent it back. why oh why?

It's a flammable item so they get a bit funny about it.

Re: Mailing nail polish from CH

Small quantities of flammable materials can be sent by post, as long as the packaging is correct (thickness of cardboard, glass fibre tape, absorbent fillers) and the right labels (black and white diamond) declare there are limited quantities therein.

Materials have UN codes (declared on the safety data sheet) and these set the quantities.

Some more information from the post here to get you started.

Re: Mailing nail polish from CH

Ask for the parcel to be sent by cheaper surface mail.
