So what's up with that? Why is IWD a non-event for the Swiss? Just a quick peek at little ol' Ireland (my home country) by comparison and there are pages and pages of listed events. I didn't know it was a classic joke at that time, I thought my mum is being serious and couldn't understand what is she on... 
Fast forward and jokes aside, I think both genders have some privileges if we can call them like that. But inequality - where and when it counts e.g. salary, politics, power positions, decision making, health, etc etc - remains a real thing IMO.
