Re: Easter Weekend Plans?

Visit Bern. See the bears, basement shops on the main strip, clocks, Einsteins residence, architecture and the mountains.

Eat rösti and raclette. Have a beer.

Surprisingly there are no tourists there this time of year.

Enjoy a rainy weekend in Bern.

Re: Easter Weekend Plans?

Staying here.
Fish dinner planned in a local restaurant Friday.

Sunday visiting family in Kreuzlingen; seems I have been delegated to cook my ill-famed smoked salmon, prawn, cream sauce pasta.

A couple of years ago I attended the Art Paris Art Fair in the Grand Palais Paris at Easter. I got an invite for this year (last weekend) but even though the TGV makes it easy I did not fancy the journey.

Glad not to be travelling.

Re: Easter Weekend Plans?

For anyone planning on going to Ticino for Easter, be aware that, as is the tradition, it will be raining!

Re: Easter Weekend Plans?

Alas, it's traditional that the Zucchini bring the rain with them.

And meteoswiss.ch confirms it.

Aren't the bears in a zoo somewhere because of renovations of their usual quarters?

From memory, I think they have gone to Jurapark near Vallorbe

Re: Easter Weekend Plans?

http://www.blick.ch/news/schweiz/tes...id3632517.html

Just for the record, there were record delays this Easter weekend. Despite the poor weather, there were record traffic jams, (please use Google translate),
