Washing / Dryer machine Etiquette , Wars

It has been well, never , since I have had to share a small load washer and dryer with so many people. My apartment holds 12 flats. Each to share these morsels of machinery.
I am unfamiliar of the Etiquette of use, etc.
For instance.
1 how long to wait once a person's washing is done before if is ok to remove their washing and place it safely aside while you intend to use the machine. This would also go for the dryer.
2- what to do if someone has removed your clothing while STILL drying, and places their clothes in to dry. ( my washing machine it is not possible to stop washing until complete - at least I think so )
3- how many loads is ok to wash/ dry in concession?
4- what to think or do if someone removes your clothes in which you have left in either washer and dryer , once cycles completed, to find your clothes placed in a unsavory situation?
5- any room to complain if someone routinely-habitually washes 1 or 2 articles of clothes per wash, when machine could fit 10-12?

Anyway, I am sure this has come up before but just in case you have a 'red ass' about this topic, an interesting story, some etiquette tips, etc - chime in....

Re: Washing / Dryer machine Etiquette , Wars

Be very very careful with the wash room! There have been wars started in Swiss laundry rooms.

Please find out what the rules are! It maybe possible that you have been allocated a certain time to use the machines, and are now washing during other peoples reserved times.... Do not touch other peoples laundry, they get very upset!

Ask your friendliest neighbour (!) for advice, but the agency / landlord should have informed you already... Sometimes a half day is allocated to each tenant, and sometimes there is a book or a timetable, where you reserve the machine for your use.

Seriously, be careful you don't tread on people's toes. If you have done, buy flowers AND chocolate and beg for forgiveness.
