This is a good list:

https://www.timeout.com/switzerland/...de-best-places

Café Lang and Hiltl also does nice brunches
Misses the best places .

Problem is - if you spread news of the best places then it's even more difficult to get a table, and quickly becomes one of the worst places

Fake news. Nowhere that serves brunch is cool. Sad.

Agree.

And you definitely shouldn't visit any of the places on this list:

I find Harrysding unrelentingly awful for reviews. It was initially an interesting blog, but became bland and uncritical. YMMV.

It's very stiff-upper-lippy. I agree. I use it just like I use any other information source. Take what I need. Discard the rest. Materialism AHOY !!!
I check many others as well. And usually, I am very open to trying new stuff. At least once.

Reminds me of the joke...Can you stop a speeding bullet ? Yep. Once.

I was on a long mission to find a great brunch place in Zurich. Failed miserably (im generally picky on restaurants and Switzerland is not a happy place for food lovers .... unless you are loaded and would go to fine dining all the time).
On the good note - if i had to choose probably the best experience was all-inclusive brunch on the roofterrace over Modissa (Bahnhofstrasse). All you can each , unlimited champagne (!), eggs per order, fresh juices, big open buffet, beautiful view - in summer you can sit on the terrace. Restaurant is called Rooftop (http://www.peclard.net/unsere-betrie...-chez-modissa/)

oh ! and cafe Bebek - kind of middle eastern style breakfast , if you are group of 6+ persons you can order their great à discrétion option, you will get a tower of goodies to share and you can ask for refill of anything (ca 30 CHF per person)

Re: Brunch in Zurich

We've been to Café des Amis closed to Schaffhauserplatz and can confirm that it was pretty good. You might need a bit of luck to get a table without a reservation on weekends tho.

Cafe du Bonheur (but if you're sitting outside, service is sometimes rather slow). Great food though when I went.

Kafi Dihei, great place but often very busy.

Babu's, also often very busy.

Cafe Bebek as suggested, or their sister restaurant Maison Blunt

Probably more, but those are some of my favourites.

Kafi Dihei is the most Anglo place in Zurich, primarily for the super service. And lack of baby prams. Their Gipfeli are the best in town. Best enjoyed weekdays if you don't like queuing. Du Bonheur also good but louche Millennial quotient high.

Funny, Dihei means at home

How's fish and chips there?

Re: Brunch in Zurich

If I want a cooked brekkie I make my own. Sod paying upwards of 20 chuffs for a couple of fried eggs and a rasher of bacon and the privilege of having it delivered to my table by some snotty faced waiter.

I’ve been to Fork and Bottle three times and they managed to screw something up each time so gave up with it.

Nice List.
I will add :

Rüsterei at Sihlcity, pricey buffet but all inclusive with non-alcoholic drinks.
Nordbrücke, on sundays, buffet & a la carte.
Cafe Lang, new brunch menu is brilliant.
Kafe für dich, decent brunch buffet.
Bubbles, I just love their full english.
Cafe du Bonheur, near Hardplatz, good ambiance, relaxed. (EDIT : Just noticed Uncle Max mentioned this one already)

I still wanna go and try the brunch at Stubä, Kafischnapps.

Re: Brunch in Zurich

i love the cafè imagine brunch, also the location.
cant name any other place that has a chef making you fresh omelettes.
also 29chf excluding drinks for the variety that is offered outshines
all other brunch places (i have been too and i have been to a lot in Zurich), apart from Fischers Fritz brunch (only over summer months). its spacious as kafi dihei and all the others are rather small cafés and quickly packed... so the "imagine" is my evergreen.
