Hi everyone,
As I mentioned in my thread in the introductions page, my wife and I are going to settle in Muri in August with our twin preschoolers. We have visited the town and it seems nice enough, but our real reason for going there is because close friends will be living there and we can afford a decent amount of space.

Just a bit anxious about being isolated in sch a small town so far outside of the main metropolitan Zürich area. Not so much for me (I speak German) but for my wife, as she doesn't speak much German yet and from what I gather Muri isn't very multi-cultural.

Anyone on here live in the area or have any opinions on the town or things to do? I expect she will sign up for German classes at the Migros school in Wohlen so will hopefully meet some other expats there. Thoughts on things to do in that part of Switzerland with preschoolers? I just hope we won't be driving to Zürich every day for social outings or classes etc. I know that's the trade-off of having a decent sized house that's affordable but still :-)

Inform yourself about the (very weird) Swiss tax system. You will find out that the villages next to it in Canton Zug will have slightly higher rent but massively lower taxes... so I would not move there.
