More like TIT - This is Tessino...you try that stuff in the civilized part of Switzerland and you'll most likely get fined.
Actually you won't.

I lost my front plate once in ZH, and was driving without it for a couple of weeks before reporting it to the cops and ordering a new one from STVA.

All was fine e

Nope. As long as you inform the police no problem (been there, etc.)

Hubby lost his Iphone at the Salon D'Auto last week as the belt clip holder broke... 1.1 million visitors including no doubt a healthy percentage of pick pockets. And... TIS... his phone was handed in!

I called 117 (Police Emergency number), and the guy was totally cool and nice, didn't even tell me to hang up and phone the normal number.

Re: TIS - This Is Switzerland

A TIS followed by a TIA (This is Aldi)

TIS
Popped into Rhyner in Egg on the way home and there was an old guy putting his recently serviced lawnmower into the boot of his car - a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow!!!

TIA
Popped into ALDI on the way home (they have Urquell Pilsner on offer) - and stood outside was a mother with her baby daughter in a baby carrier. The mother was smoking a cigarette.

The bus from St Peter Pagig to Chur is running late - say 10mins or so - but more than enough to prevent the people catching the trains to civilisation - bus driver calls ahead, gets confirmation the trains will be held for as long as possible - bus driver tells passengers - they all make their trains. TIS

Heading into Geneva for work one morning and the train stops mid-way between Coppet and Geneva for 20 minutes due to a malfunction down the line. Ticket collector walks into our carriage and asks if anyone is in need of an official CFF chitty explaining you were a passenger in a delayed train! - TIS

Went to Bern to float down the Aare with friends, arrived at the launch spot in a village many km away, our friend told us we could pump the dinghy near the water, we arrived at somebody's house where in their driveway was an air pump with a hand written sign in schwiizerdütsch welcoming us to use the pump at a cost of Frs 5...next to it was a cup filled to the top with coins! - TIS

Our letterbox was very old and wobbly. After only 6 years, we finally managed to buy a new and fancy one. Yesterday a couple of neighbours left a card praising the new one, using all the Spanish words they knew (my mother tongue).

Re: TIS - This Is Switzerland

Only here one runs a race and gets a free tshirt, baseball cap, rivella, apples, candy, beach ball and a gym sack full of Migros surprises.

Plus I got an sms a few seconds after I finished with the exact time I took.

That's....CH.

I am running again in 3 weeks, if they get the urban run license.

They try to motivate you to do even more improvements by providing positive feedback and rewards....

So, when did you clean your windows last time?
