Re: Is crossing the road illegal?

Police took my 7 year old's class out to practice crossing the road.

Acknowledging the driver with a wave and smile is part of the curriculum.

My daughter told me one of the policemen stopped a motorcyclist for a "special" chat when he decided to ride the pavement outside the school.
I do think it is an excellent skill to teach young kids how to use the roads and respect traffic etc. In a number of Countries, kids have lost this skill as they are continually driven to school or anywhere else they need to go and therefore traffic sense is missing.
