Re: I smiled because...

I got woken up in the night by a loud slurping noise coming from the garden.
When I looked out of the window I saw a fox and her two cubs drinking loudly from our pond.
That was actually worth being woken up at 2 am for.

Re: I smiled because...

I am smiling at the moment, as with this post I am approaching the threshold of 10 EF posts enabling me to finally sell my lovely leather sofa on the EF marketplace :-)
In my previous 6 years of membership, I had not felt that I had much important stuff to share... so the system still labels me as Newbie but this is changing! Be prepared! :-D

Re: I smiled because...

I heard again a parrot family in the ceiling of our house which fight everyday. It´s very noisy, but wonderful. It´s from the nature.. I need to smile in these days, I´m so bad, sorry.

My cat chased a little dog. "Charlie" realy has balls to do that. Ignorance and inexperience realy is funny sometimes.

I smiled too because Charlie has a girl friend. He is not even one year old. Sly little bugger

I smiled because my little boy, who has recently decided that sleeping at night is only for wimps and has been driving us crazy with sleep deprivation, suddenly gave me a big wave and blew a load of kisses at me from the window of his daycare as I left for work this morning.

OK, so maybe we won't put him on Ebay now...
Hahaha aww thats super cute

Re: I smiled because...

I´ve felt bad these days before, ´cause of my woman period. Much headache and pain in my muscles. I´m so tired to feel lonely.
I´ve started to read some posts and I saw that many ones are so cute!

Just to pass in here to say hello, a good nice Sunday for friends from EF. . I´m here everyday to read your warm and funny posts. Some tips and commentaries very interesting!!!

A big SUNDAY. Remember to use glasses and protector cream.

Re: I smiled because...

After seeing it mentioned many times on here and in other places I finally found the time and inclination to google 'eyebrow threading' and now I know what it actually is.
I will go to bed marginally less stupid tonight.

That made you smile? Ack, it always makes me cringe just to read the words, forget watching videos.

Re: I smiled because...

...after several weeks away celebrating daughter's school finish in Sweden and moving out of a flat, I arrived back the CH-basecamp where our 13-yr old son gave me a big hug then said "shall we go look at the garden?" He pointed out everything that had been blooming, and the weed overgrowth too. (He is well trained)

Knowing what it is made me smile. Knowing that it's something I am never going to do made me smile even more. I didn't need to watch videos to arrive at that conclusion.

Actually I think it's way less painful than my 'traditional' method with twizzers. And a close friend uses wax for her eybrows, and that makes me cringe!

Re: I smiled because...

Today at the train station I met a very handsome Golden Retriever named Max. He was very friendly and his owner spoke English. I got to pet him! (His owner probably could see how starved I am to interact with a canine) Silly boy flopped to the ground ( he was very warm).
If it weren't for folks trying to catch trains I would have proceeded to give him belly rubs for a good spell. MADE MY DAY!

Re: I smiled because...

A couple of signs outside a store today made me smile.

The first one said 'All dogs are welcome. Please don't leave your dogs in your cars.'

And the second one just outside the door above a huge bowl of water( can only post one photo from iPad)

Re: I smiled because...

The boy has gone off to Munich on a trip with the school and whilst I do really miss him it's so nice to be able to open the fridge door and find all the stuff I bought on Saturday is still there.
So much to choose from for breakfast this morning is bringing a smile to my face.

Re: I smiled because...

I come from a big family: we are recently 4 boys and 6 girls and my mother. So, all of them, I have my prefer sister, she is older than me. She tells me every funny histories. I laugh so much.
One day, she was in a little plaine in the Amazon forest with a team of researchers from University of Rio de Janeiro and the plaine has lost the contact to command air tower and everybody were in panic. One of them said: in my phone, if the GPS doesn't work anymore, can you imagine this old machine (the airplane). It's a dangeroud adventure.

Re: I smiled because...

I discovered a 1902 20-Rappen coin in my change today.

I may not be rich, but I do have 4 grams of Swiss silver coined over a 100 years ago.

EDIT: Make that 8.4 grams — I just found a 1964 1-franc coin, too!
