I smiled (well had to stifle a belly-laugh, actually) because I saw two delivery blokes playing with one of those pallet lifters. One was riding on it and the other one, who was pushing it, turned to me as I walked past saying "What, have you never seen a gladiator in Zurich?"
Also with the Swiss at the winter Olympics. I couldn't find it on YouTube but here's a link to the page with the video

I guess that's where they got it from. Didn't work so well on cobbles, though.

My solar lights outside are on tonight. Which means there was enough sun today.
We're heading in the right direction.

Now that's what I call a clean run!

And a good time was had by all. Which is all that ever matters.

Thanks for the giggles, Blueangel.

There's retro, and there's WTF is that?!!!! £250 for a pair of designer shorts to emulate possibly the most geekish photoshoot in history.

That was retro? Gosh I'm young ..... I do not remember such clothing.

Mentioning retro: pearl.ch sent me an email today, advertising retro-this and retro-that and I wondered what they were hinting at.

The "model" (and I use the word loosely ), doesn't look quite the ticket to me.

Re: I smiled because...

Blueangel, that was both hilarious and tragic at the same time.
Here are the culprits (copy-past from that link)

"Grooming: David Wadlow at Premier Hair and Make-up, using Maria Nila Stockholm and Darphin Paris. Stylist’s assistant: Bemi Shaw. Model: Dylan Moran at Supa Model Management. Special thanks to Kim and Annie at Stansted Airport."

What were they thinking?! Grooming!

"raspberry suede shorts, £1,141"

wtf, I don't think I've spent that much on shorts in my entire lifetime! Not looking like the wally they used for a model has saved me a fortune.

Re: I smiled because...

JagWaugh, you may still have that fortune, and that'd be very nice, but just consider for a moment what else you've missed out on, going all your adult life without a pair of raspberry suede shorts. Really! Unless, of course, you managed to wrangle a cheaper pair somewhere.

I'd overlooked the raspberry suede shorts. Thank you for bringing them to my attention. Was this a subliminal request for your next birthday present?

Ok, so...I love it. The weird white socks pulled up probably the most. The only truly ridiculous thing about it are the price tags, since one can find all this gear in the Salvation Army or yard sales. Vintage fun.

Suede shorts sounds uncomfortable with the airport draft
