...my little kitten just went outside for her first time, and started chasing the rain drops with much bemusement when they disappeared....SO cute.....(but also hoping she gets smarter as she gets older!)

My lifelong best mate is visiting Switzerland for the first time. In one day, we've seen The King and I at Theatre 11, a wonderful children's choir at The Singing Christmas Tree and, whilst my OH was queuing for our 'Oh My Greek' gyros at ZHB, my favourite Zurich busker was playing outside, so we joined him for a few songs. It's been a very musical day. | This user would like to thank Blueangel for this useful post:

A friend in India has bought me a Jacquie Lawson advents calendar. She's done that for several years now.
If you don't know them, they are very neat, offer more than just a cardboard-door to open and can keep someone quite busy for a while.
Your child might love it too and you don't need to worry about what they are doing on the computer.

We're going to a 50th birthday party in Germany at the weekend and it has an 80s theme. I'm going for the full "Frankie Says Relax" biker boy look with the addition of a violet coloured spiky wig and OH is going as Nigel Tufnell from Spinal Tap in a mullet wig, ribcage t-shirt, he also has an inflatable v guitar. I tried all of mines on this afternoon and I look totally ridiculous
A friend of ours is going as Prince, he bought an inflatable guitar as well, but he burst it and it now has a bike repair thingy on it | The following 2 users would like to thank Cherub for this useful post:

I was walking down at the lake behind a guy wearing headphones in full ‘dance as though nobody’s watching’ mode. He was really getting in to his groove. He caught sight of me as I overtook him, gave a half wave and went back to his dancing. | The following 4 users would like to thank for this useful post:

My childhood best mate visited for 6 days this week and loves Switzerland so much that she wants to make it an annual visit. Just as I was seeing her off at the airport, one of our nephews announced he's coming to visit on Tuesday. He's a wonderful guy (tall, very handsome and single too ) and we're going to thoroughly enjoy spoiling him rotten for the two nights he's with us, before he hits the town with his mate who lives closer to the city centre.

Since that fancy dress party we went to on Saturday night we've both had earworms. The guy who turned 50 has been a massive Clash fan since his teens, so husband is waking up to "I live by the river" every morning and mines is "Rock the Casbah, Rock the Casbah"
As for the guy who was Prince, well he's a mad fan of Prince but doesn't dance to ANYTHING at all. Every time the DJ played 1999 people were shouting at him to get up on the floor, but nope. He ended up with his wig off and fast asleep at the table after too much red wine, then had a hangover until about Tuesday |
