Still laughing at this almost a week later.

For anyone not familiar with the show format, on 'Ready, Steady, Cook', the contestants give a shopping bag of three items costing less than £10 in total to one of the chefs who, in turn, have to devise a 3 course menu that can be completed in less than 20 mins.

I‘m really noticing the small things, like the chestnut tree just starting to bloom outside my bedroom window. Have lived here since around 15 years, and never noticed this slow development before. Going to make a time-lapse video of it to help pass the time.

My Nescafé tastes OK again - couldn‘t taste it since for around 2 weeks ending a couple of weeks ago . Almost had to consider buying a coffee machine. That and a bit of a hay-fever cough. (For understanding that, you need to be up-to-date on the symptoms of the Corona virus).
It seems to be the thing that's giving us the 1st allergy overkill these days. The blooming red chestnut is still really beautiful.

And smiled that I have taken all precautions since the early „rumors“ started (even though I was ridiculed on EF at the time )
Never mind the strangers online (I am not big on Churchill but he said some really neat stuff, that we will not make it far on our mission if we stop and throw stones at each dog that barks at us..or something like that. Plus one should never throw stones at animals or people )..I hope you feel ok.

I smiled today because despite the crazy allergy we smell and taste enough to make a national dish from home. Well, revisited. There is dumpling, pork..and some other stuff.

Pasta, TP and hand-sanitiser?

I smiled today because I got a meme that says: "This is The Psychiatric Society, please, do not contact us during quarantine when you start talking to objects. Contact us when they talk back."

Moi, I am happy switching to Denner shampoo. Whether my ott hair is happy, is another story . Online teaching has its advantages. Will just dim the lights.

That's where my shaving gel came from.

Re: I smiled because...

I've finished making a set of dice moulds, in order to cast my own epoxy resin dice!
I'm thinking either tomorrow or Wednesday I'll do the casting ... depends on which is a good day to have windows open.

I've been using Denner shampoo/shower gel for ages - it costs almost nothing, and it gets me clean. Win-win!!

I did yet another list for myself, this time to keep myself occupied during this difficult situation we all find ourselves in.

I'm a total list making junkie, always have been. As I have no job now it gives me discipline. I may even go the whole hog and do a timetable

Re: I smiled because...

I am seriously nulle at list making. Being anti list, I prefer to do things than make list about them. I have to fix that....is there an app for fast list making? I saw those around, my study buddies kept forwarding those apps to me, I was in denial. Either that or get myself a list making person.

If I do have a list, I out of principle don't cross stuff out. No cheap feeling of achievement, ha!

What...it is not for Androids? I want the Bear Thing.

You could also make a list of your lists.

Re: I smiled because...

Never thought that I would get so excited about receiving my usual packet of Dettol disinfectant wipes with my Coop delivery ordered 3 weeks ago (usually delivered same or next day in the good old times). No loo paper, but still celebrating! (Hope the neighbours saw the delivery ). Heard the relevant sounds of envy...
