My old manager is still on his one man mission to brighten up the day of his friend working on the covid ward of Stepping Hill hospital, Stockport. Either that or lockdown in Perth, Australia is really boiling his eggs If anyone knows how to extract a tiktok file ref from a facebook post, please let us (me and his long suffering wife) know

Re: I smiled because...

sorting out a box of photos (as you do when bored and confined...) I found a tatty little piece of paper - an article from the Daily Express, March 11, 1939.

Found it behind the radiator in the oak lounge of our last UK house, built 1920- after we moved in in 1980. It made the move with us to CH in march 2009 - 60 years later.

Maybe tomorrow. I guess today he's just getting in the mood.

The purple one is. The yellow one's his. A few years back, his daughter's favourite Disney character was Belle and he wanted someone dressed as her to appear at her birthday party. Everyone was booked up, so a friend made him the dress (he's 6ft 2) and he did the party entertainment himself. Typical James! I bloody love that lad. He was my confidant at work when I began seeing my OH Think yourself lucky I've not posted the topless video with the fur nipple covers.

You are not the only EF member that has received stuff in the days/weeks for people not able/minimalising contact outside of their home . And just to clarify to all and sundry, no, I was not the sender in this particular case.

okay, thanks, I do.

18.45h and bright sunshine. It's wonderful. Might change my mind about summer-time. At least the first few days are like magic.

Someone sent me this hysterical video of a six year pleading with her Mom to go to the pub. Priceless!

Re: I smiled because...

Daughter (26) just enjoying herself like crazy in her room on a Corona party (Skype). First time in a couple of weeks that she‘s had this kind of contact with her friends. Can now confirm that she doesn‘t need drugs, alcohol or sex to keep her laughing (our walls are thin)

Re: I smiled because...

... because my nearest and dearest are healthy and we haven't lost anybody else ....and hopefully won't for the entire friggin' year!! (4 peeps within 5 weeks is enough!!)

..... because the mates of kid#1 (all around 30yo) still stay in touch with silly old me and are asking about my well being during this time. Love my 'adopted' and hodgepodge family!!

.....because, this morning, I went for our forthnightly grocery shop at 8am and incl. me, there were only 3 customers in Lidl.

....I was able to order veggie seedlings (for which I don't have the seeds to grow my own) from LANDI.

...biggest smile now...because I am about to head out and work in the garden, harvesting the last of the winter veges and getting the beds ready for the new seedlings, enjoying the glorious sunshine and all the flying and crawling critters that are about
