This time I waited for my fourth batch of dice to come out and, while the colours aren't what I expected, I like the colours. They change depending on from which angle you look at them, especially the larger ones.

Where do you get your stuff from? I just got a letter from a friend here in Europe who sent it to me on April 2.
It's a Swiss company, so no borders to cross ... you can also get the stuff you need to do it from Migros, once they open the Do It + Garden section again.

Games are great. I just did good ol' battleship. Holidays are made for board games.
Exactly! Unfortunately we can't invite friends over as well, and sometimes tension rises within the family ...

Board games and long walks! Trust me, the best medicine. Let them win a few times tell them how amazing they are.

I smiled coz our guy neighbor keeps putting really beautiful peonies in his window.

A lot of rain. A lot, a lot. And it's cold so walks will be manky. But the air smell gorgeous.

Re: I smiled because...

... I was remembering the meat pies from yesterday's lunch ... absolutely delicious, hard to decide which was best: the rich, juicy contents (including big chunks of perfectly-cooked, premium quality meat); the delicious, flaky pastry; or the fact that reheating them in the oven worked perfectly and they were at that brilliant slightly-too-hot-to-eat temperature all the way through when I put them on the plate.
I love the Pie Tribe, not least because they're just around the corner from where I live (and for those further away, they do deliver).

Re: I smiled because...

....I had a super experience with 2 different customer services and the problem was resolved to my satisfaction

But the biggest grin, not just smile....

.....I did a few things out of love for people to help/lift the mood in many different ways, which made me feel great and smiling as well

I found half a tube of Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles in the bottom of my handbag, didn't let on to my OH and I greedily ate them

Re: I smiled because...

Tried to book an appointment online for my doctor. Earliest available slot 9:45 Thursday, so I took that... and then got a notification by email it had been cancelled. Followed 10 seconds later by a call offering me an appointment this morning.

(Centramed Basel).

Usually my wife and I fight over the blackcurrant ones ... until we discovered that you can buy packs of fruit pastilles which are only blackcurrant.

I still have a pack tucked away from our trip to Australia in January ...

Re: I smiled because...

I went shopping tonight and realised I'm starting to feel as if I'm in a giant pinball game - when I'm trying to avoid being too close to people I'm like the ball trying to avoid all the bumpers. Too weird, but not as weird as the dreams I'm having. Last night's was a hostage situation!

Best ever blackcurrant pastilles were Terry's, don't think you can get them now

Hair salons, nail salons, waxing centers, and tanning places are open.
It was starting to get ugly out there.

OH is getting his hair cut on Friday and I've got a cut an colour on the 13th. Praise the Lord because I'm 59 on the 14th and now won't have to look like a vagrant for it

After a period of no social life aside of online communities, there seem to be an overkill now. A bit of normalcy is seeping in.

We are not the only ones, but everyone is keeping safe, being cautious, feels good.

Funny! Some guy bumped me while walking past behind my back in the dairy section of the Volg the other day. Didn't even look back as if nothing happened.

Re: I smiled because...

Catching fragments of my cleaning lady having various conversations with my cats who like to supervise her work very closely.

"Yes, I'm done with this bit now, would you like to check?" *cat presumably had a closer look to check* "All good? Ok, let's do the next bit then..." "no, don't touch that, it's not for you, silly boy!"

And on it goes. The cats love her and I see why.

Re: I smiled because...

I spent a fab afternoon getting my hair done, when my hairdresser saw my (shot to hell) white roots he went "WOW" I can now face turning 59 tomorrow with a big smile on my face

Been sending pics of the before and after transformation to family and friends in Scotland who can't get their hair done until July

I guess it's still one day early (as it's not quite midnight yet), but...

Happy Birthday!
