Consider yourself envied.

There's me, I got a new toilet last week and a new wash base - and more important a new waste system as the old one had hardly any chrome plating left = uuuuugly) - today. I basically have a new bathroom and it kind of makes me smile.

And it matches the shower curtain?

Yes dear.

I understand you find getting new bathroom appliance during tenancy too trivial to smile about?

Lovely.
It would be nice to see some proper snow this winter... especially so my son can go sledding on the hills behind our house. It always fills me with smiles to see kids sledding out there.

Re: I smiled because...

Yes, always loved snow- crisp squeeky, twinkly and soft. But this year is special, I will be 70 and can't wait to put both my new knees to the test. For my BD- I will spend the morning skiing on hard snow, and snowboarding in the afternoon on softer

I live over the mountain, at 950m, and it was all white this morning, and snowing. Didn't last - but ...Métabief/Mr d'Or was very snowy this am too.

Yep, just been told there was snow in (595msl) but slosh rather than snow and soon gone and there is snow on Plan Platte (2245msl) but they expect that will evaporate again (Föhn).
I wouldn't mind proper snow here this year - but not before Thursday

Re: I smiled because...

Because Gucci sold out their torn nylons (144£). After their over-priced dirty looking sneakers, pseudo grass and dirt stained overalls and other gems, their vision of "2nd hand" fashion manages to sell out. They are being criticized for "commercializing poverty", I understand the critique. (https://www.idnes.cz/ekonomika/podni...4_ekoakcie_maz in CZ)

because my friend's daughter, aged 10 - when I told her mum we should all try to stay positive- said 'NO NO we must all try to say negative' - bless her.

Re: I smiled because...

because our dog, Emma, is 15 today and she is still so fit, active and happy. Only had her for 2.5 years- and she has finally found a man who will love her as she deserves and will never ever abandon her, unlike the previous one.

Made her a mincemeat cake with 15 candles. Such a cutie.
