I smile big time because last night my mum arrived to Basel, and she had a surprise birthday present for me: My brother!
I had no idea, and it was so cool!
How did she fit him in her check-in luggage?

I smiled because when my son was told that tomorrow is father's day, he asked: when is son's day?
Mine asked when Children's day was. I told him eveyday was Children's day.

You had no idea you had a brother, or no idea he was visiting?

Basically means you can make others think your computer is based in the UK so you can access all the stuff that's blocked to Switzerland like BBC iPlayer.

Re: I smiled because...

I smiled because I realised that although ten hours of every day consist of a ****storm of negativity, paranoia, personal insults, xenophobia, bigotry, luddism and grief, the sun is shining, I have a beautiful, radiant young bride and there is a crate of Rappi Gold waiting for me at home.

Perspective is everything, eh?

I smile because my mum went with me to the morning walk with the dog.
As usual I greet everyone with 'Gretzi' and my mum had an awkward face for a while until she asked me why I said 'bitchy' to everyone

I more than smiled, when driving along in the car and made my Swiss Hubby laugh. He turned to me and said "you are so sweet, when you make me funny".

Re: I smiled because...

I smiled today when I came across a forested path that was perfectly relaxing to walk along with my little one. The birds were singing, there was plenty of shade, and I could let him out of the stroller to walk without worrying about much more than dirty hands from exploring the pebbles and leaves on the ground.
