Re: I smiled because...

I'm a sick as a dog, so is my little daughter and I think my baby boy might be getting ill too, HOWEVER (here comes the bit that's making me smile) my husband will be at home tomorrow and I'm so grateful for that.

You poor thing- what's up with you all? Very brave of you to keep smiling - and hope you get some rest soon.

Get well soon, Meisie! I had that cold for a couple of weeks - it's a horrible one, and a horrible time of year to get it.

We smiled because... we finally finished unpacking, and the flat looks fantastic!!!

(It only took us five months)

Re: I smiled because...

I smiled because tonight I found out that raclette and English chutney go together very well. And Betty Crocker Gingerbread with chocolate icing, too. In fact, anything goes with raclette, seems like.

Meisie, get well soon..

I had camembert melted on wholemeal toast with redcurrant jelly. Also made me smile.

Mmmm.... reading raclette made me smile!

2 sweet kid moments today (in the blistering 100+ weather!), my 4 year old son told me I was cool and my baby girl always makes me smile when she's so happy to see me :-D

Re: I smiled because...

I can now handle a riding mower, a truck, a mower pulling things, a rototiller and a trench digger. I can shovel and dig in clay and lay french drains really well in heat index of about 100F, all in a pretty sun dress and make-up, even if I don't lose any weight.

And I stepped out of the shower to find a humming bird studying me as it hovered outside the open widow.

... I came home after 5 days to a happy dog and a smiling man, and the dog took my wrist in her jaws and led me around the room.

Re: I smiled because...

My children's pediatrician sweetly wrote instructions for the use of each of the various medications for my children on the medicine boxes and spelt the word 'phlegm' like this: 'phlomb'

She is a Swiss-German lady but speaks English with a beautiful clear British accent.

Re: I smiled because...

They start filming 'The Place beyond the Pines' 5 miles away today. The bank robbery will be at my bank and at our local hospital etc. Many of the people I know will be in the film with two friends as extras (they were in the Angelina Jolie film SALT that was also filmed nearby in Albany). I might go to see the motorcycle stunts. It sounds like it will be a good film.

Awww....ta. Vice versa!

I loved listening to you gut a few of those tunes in very cool hardcore voice!

Honestly, we were the best, the entire EF troop. And that gray hair crew cut man. And the chick right next to us. And the Jaysus looking dude. But, we had the most fun! It was awesome.
