Oy, you just liked that Nikita Russian army chick on tv, hahaha...

It was great hanging with everyone and singing! My 1st karaoke. I wonder if the other karaoke place is ready for so much healthy fun. All of you made me smile. And Deb's Saigon duck and my chicken sautay, oooh!

I got home after a terrific thunderstorm and the French drains my hubby and I had dug worked, water had gushed out and no standing water-Success and we saved $2000 dollars! Yes we can!

Re: I smiled because...

... because I had a great walk today at Creux-du-Van and a great meal at Le Soliat farm- with very nice people. We managed to stay dry, had some sunshine and even saw some of the elusive Ibex. Lovely.

That's just wonderful, Sky, and makes me miss my dog more than ever.
He died a couple of years ago and I'm just too old now to cope with another.

Couldn't bear to watch the £ fall even lower - so fabulous walk to Chasseron with a couple of good friends. Flowers and views were wonderful, and the 5 mins rain came down as we were having lunch. Stuff the exchange rate ... a good walk costs nothing.

Re: I smiled because...

A new found friend gave me 4 pairs of shoes that she also got as a present, ones that I could not afford at the moment :-) They are so nice and shiny and I cant even wear them during the day since they have wheels of 15cm and I am already 1.82cm tall! Every time when I arrive at home now I look at them, put them on and just smile

It's noodle party time again! I don't like cold noodles but it's fun watching the kids run after them down the bamboo poles!

"Inconspicuous" is a great word to hear and a fabulous start into the weekend.

Ok, here goes:

.... I was really hungry at lunch time and stuffed my belly with delicious tacos (with ALL the trimmings).
.... I made a birthday cake for my sister. It's looks a mess! Caramel and frosting falling all over the show! I'm just gonna say my three year old helped me with it
.... The world is full of good people and I'm so grateful to know some of them.
.... I'm slurping away at ice-cold fresh apple juice from the Juckerfarm
.... I love how protective and caring my 3 year old is over her 1 year old brother
.... I love the soul food I receive from attending church.
.... Last but not least, Frau MusicChick is a pretty awesome chick!
.... VERY last one, I promise. Today I was told I look like a "titanic girl". I'm not sure what that means but it made me smile

Re: I smiled because...

The red-tailed hawk is back in my garden having successfully reared young.
They weren't successful the first year I observed their mating rituals in my garden. They pick squirrels off the trees.
