Re: I smiled because...

Passing a hesslich 2 hour oral exam. Being analysed for an hour right after and rushing right off, briefcase full of books, tripping over my own feet and not remembering my own name, I was still grinning. Just wished other stuff wasn't weighing my mind down, but it's good to know one can focus and perform even under difficult circumstances.

...because I have it on good authority that the world apparently hates Brussel Sprouts. Is it just kids and teens? I love it, beats me why it is so hated. I think cooking it fresh, not frozen, makes it nice.

Re: I smiled because...

I smile, no, check that, I laugh outright every morning at work, because of the way everything is organised.

Re: I smiled because...

because I've seen a wolf on saturday in the Vallée de Joux.

A real one, a wild one.

Add : I took a picture of it. It was a bit out of focus due to motion blur.
So the end of the story is that the Prefet of the area want to publish my picture

I find the German name Rosenkohl ( = cabbage of roses) much nicer than the Brüsseler Kohl

I sometimes cook it together (the Rosenkohl starting an hour before) with Spaghetti, some soy-sauce, curry, Koriander, Kardamon, Harissa etc soooo delicious

Re: I smiled because...

My 20 month daughter wanted to play her favourite game (hide and seek)
while she was strapped into her buggy waiting for the tram.
I covered her head with a blanket and counted to 10.
Ready or not ...
Here I come.
When I "found" her.. She screamed in delight and said "Again, again"

Because I have chipped nails and blisters again from stubborn strings, but it feels good to play..And, apparently neighbor added a drum set to his collection, yay, which means I can pull up the volume a bit.

ha ha ha. reminded me of when my daughter was around that age and did something similar, only we didn't have a blanket so she used her (see through) rain cover instead....
