Yeah, it's ayit..I think it's pretty ridiculous to sleep in bikinis, so I don't wonder he had a laugh.

Re: I smiled because...

a little girl behind me in the tram started singing "Let it Go" in German. She was adorable Her Grandma was also singing softly along next to her, which made it even cuter.

Whilst hiking high up the Elm region of Glarus spotted fresh lynx tracks up at 1800 meters in the fresh snow. The ibex and marmots in the area need to keep alert.

Re: I smiled because...

Today, tram in Zürich. Little girl with grandfather, eating some biscuits. I was looking at her curly blonde hair and the bluest eyes you could see, smiling and thinking what a beauty. She took a biscuit out of her pack and gave it to me "This is for you, you can also have one!"...so, so cute!!!

Re: I smiled because...

While coming home from work, the bus was packed, but when an elderly man stepped on, the teenage girl next to me stood up and gave him her place. Less than five minutes later, another older man unsuccessfully tried to lift his trolly onto the bus. Another young man stood up and helped him onto the bus.

It was super nice.

Re: I smiled because...

Today we had a special meeting "increasing productivity" - called in from the boss.

The conclusion was:
- to increase the productivity we have to decrease the amount of errors and mistakes beeing made during daily work.
- to increase the productivity we have to decrease the processing time

The solution was "exact quote":
- Each employee has to reduce their mistakes beeing made in daily work.
- Each employee has to improve their work speed.

Sometimes I wish I had such a great business and management knowledge as my boss. His analytic skills are sharp and on spot. a dream for the company and each employee.

The meeting was only took us "only" 2 hours.

And now to the topic: I had to smile because I have already quit :P

...I was NOT w/OH last evening in the bar of a Paris Marriott filled with American tourists. He panicked that perhaps his talk was meant to be in Chicago

(No offense intended to fellow USrs, but have you ever noticed how LOUD they can be?)

Re: I smiled because...

At the weekend we took a trip down to Vevey. I was amazed to see along the promenade that the local gardening club had planted a range of tomatoes, herbs etc.
When they are producing fruit it invites you to "try the produce" and help yourself

Where else but in Switzerland could you find such a wonderful idea that has not been destroyed or stolen for someone else's gain.
Really made me smile

... because after weeks of worrying- I've finally found the perfect 'home from home' place for our little adoptee (Slinky the old dachshund) whilst we go away for a few days Pheeeew- he hates kennels so it will be perfect with another dog similar to him. One of my students comes up trumps... again

Oh next time you can try with us! Providing the little bugger is fine with kids, he would be happy with us and Brownie!

Re: I smiled because...

Slinky just loves kids- must get together soon with both dogs and kids, to see how they all get on- might be able to help you another time. Anyhow, what a huge relief to know he's found another mummy (not granny like me), a friend and kids to enjoy his holiday. Pheeew. Bless his little cotton socks- his life has been traumatic enough- he deserves peace in his old life (he is approx 15, a good age for a dachshund).
